The Loss of Icons in 2016

Will it never end? From the loss of Alan Rickman to the current losses of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, it seems the losses in 2016 just refuse to end. My heart is saddened by the losses of some of my favorite on-screen icons. The loss of musicians, writers, astronauts, diplomats, inventors and other on-screen/tv actors are just much too numerous for one year. My hearts and prayers go out to the families of all who have lost loved ones in 2016, as well as their fans.

While we have lost many icons over the last year, let us not forget the men and women who lost their lives in the line of duty, those murdered by hate and despair, and let us not forget those who were left behind to pick up the pieces.

May 2017 find us all in a much better place.
